ABOUT THE OWNER

Stillman (BUD) Mackay, the owner of Tryon Trading, has lead the company to a number of AWARDS including the State of South Carolina Recognition Award for export services, and from Hersey Measurement Co., for doubling their export sales in a single year.

Bud is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute of Technology (WPI) with a degree in electrical engineering.

His international background includes marketing such products as outdoor lighting, radio, television, hi-fidelity equipment, electronic components, and meters and controls for the process industry. In the services area, he was involved with the international development of GE Time Sharing computer services.

He has experience in many business areas including sales, marketing, manufacturing, purchasing, materials requirement planning, human relations, administration, corporate planning, information services, international sales, and licensing. He is also active as a consultant. Internationally, he has directed the start-up of five export operations.

At Tryon Trading he is at work listening to reps and customers, and developing innovative programs that increase sales and profits for reps and manufacturers while delivering cost effective process products to end customers.
